What Classes Are Available?

Kable Academy’s Web Development course teaches about responsive web design, front end web design, and full stack web development. Each of these topics is covered in one of the course’s three different phases. In the responsive web design phase, students learn how to use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to build websites. Next, the course covers intermediate JavaScript, how to build front end apps using React, and how to use Git to manage code.

The school’s Cybersecurity course also has three different phases and prepares students to receive certifications in CompTIA IT Fundamentals, A+, Network, or Security+. The first phase begins with an introduction to information technology support, where students learn how to install and configure hardware, how to install motherboards and CPUs, and how to troubleshoot mobile devices, to name a few topics covered. In the second phase, students learn about network support, including networking ports and protocols, network services, cloud concepts, and virtualization, among other topics. Class Formats

Kable Academy has both full-time and evening course formats. Its evening courses meet from 6 pm to 9 pm Monday through Thursday and on one Saturday each month. The full-time courses meet from 9 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday, excluding any holidays that may fall within the program. Full-time courses meet over 12 weeks and part-time courses meet over 24 weeks.

Each of its courses has 600 total classroom hours. Of these 600 hours, 400 hours are led by live instructors. To attend these courses, students must have a personal laptop. Kable Academy provides loaner laptops to those who do not have their own. The school requires 90% in-class attendance.
