Victory Lap operates fully online, offering students across the U.S. the opportunity to get both theoretical and hands-on training in Sales. The school draws instructors from sales representatives at major businesses, including AWS and Instacart.

Victory Lap aims to train professionals for a long-term career in sales, helping them find and keep jobs in the sales industry. Founded in 2016, Victory Lap is the brainchild of Brian Bar, formerly Head of Sales Onboarding at Groupon and Vice President of Sales at ThinkCERCA. The school started out sharing space with ReviewTracker in River North, Chicago, as Bar bootstrapped his venture from the beginning. The first external investment in the school came in 2021, when the ISA finance enterprise Leif invested $25 million. Victory Lap has participated in other partnerships, however, joining with Sales Assembly and 1871, in 2018, to create a free program to help Chicago sales professionals from underrepresented demographics advance into managerial sales positions. Thanks to his success with Victory Lap, Bar is in high demand as a mentor and advisor, contributing to programs at TechStars, Sales Assembly, and Northwestern University. Victory Lap itself quickly achieved high demand; only 10% of applicants were accepted into the program in its first year.

From the very start, Victory Lap has been a Chicago-based institution. While it has moved from its original shared offices, the school still operates out of the River North neighborhood. All of Victory Lap’s programming, however, is offered online.

Since it started operations in 2016, Victory Lap has focused exclusively on offering students training for sales. For prospective students interested in researching their career education options, Noble Desktop offers the Classes Near Me tool. What Classes Are Available?

Victory Lap offers a single program, their sales bootcamp that trains students for careers in the sales industry. Students start by learning the field from industry experts, as the school draws instructors from major enterprises such as AWS, Instacart, and Sprout Social. After studying the skills and theories that sales professionals rely on in their work, students put their new knowledge to the test in internships where they work as business development representatives. Students’ education does not end there, however. They continue receiving mentorship and practical coaching, as well as career coaching to support students in securing their first full-time job after graduation.

Class Formats

Victory Lap’s programming is offered exclusively online. During their four weeks of intensive training, students divide their time between virtual classroom instruction and career preparation. At the internship stage, students can choose between part-time or full-time work.

Admissions Process

Admission into Victory Lap’s programming is competitive and open only to students located in the US. Prospective students must submit an online form to apply, sharing their career aspirations—including the cities in which they aspire to work—as well as their resume and LinkedIn profile. After submitting their application, prospective students schedule an interview with the admissions team to continue their application process.

Pricing & Payment Options

Victory Lap has three different options available for students to pay for their tuition. Upfront tuition costs $5,889. The school also offers a no-deposit income share agreement (ISA) program, wherein graduates with jobs earning at least $30,000 annually make 24 monthly payments of 8% of their income. The total repayment is capped at $15,000. Students can also opt to participate in a no-deposit contingent payment plan, which spreads repayment into equal payments of $208.33–$416.67 over 24–48 months once the student has secured an annual minimum salary of $30,000.

Career Support Services

Because Victory Lap’s bootcamp program is focused on sales careers, the entire curriculum is oriented toward securing a job in sales. Besides the theoretical and practical instruction, students also receive support in developing their job applications and preparing for interviews. Students also serve in a business development internship, where they get real-world job training. After graduation, students can join the Victory Lap alumni network, where they will continue to receive career support as they move up in the sales industry.

Alumni Outcomes

While Victory Lap does not publicly report student outcomes in terms of job placement or graduation rates, the school does share that 78% of their graduates who are hired remain with the business that hired them for a year or longer. Victory Lap alumni have found careers at major businesses that include Canon, DocuSign, LinkedIn, Salesforce, and Sprout Social.
