Revit is Autodesk’s building information modeling (BIM) software. Revit is industry-standard software for architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) professionals along with other software like AutoCAD. Revit allows users to design 3D models of buildings, structures, and systems. Architects or interior designers can use it to create detailed floor plans, structural engineers can use Revit to model components like slabs, columns, and beams, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineers can design complete 3D systems models. 

BIM stands for Building Information Modeling and is an all-inclusive process for designing, developing, and managing projects that gives Architects, Engineers, Contractors, and Real Estate Developers a tool that provides more efficient control with planning, designing, constructing, and managing the development of buildings and infrastructures. BIM facilitates 3D modeling through a cloud platform that integrates data with digital technology for planning and designing construction projects and operations.
