Overview
Learn how to create and maintain a website using WordPress, even if you have no web design background or coding experience. This comprehensive course will cover everything from installing WordPress to customizing themes and optimizing your site for search engines.
If you already have experience with coding webpages and using the visual content management side of WordPress, this class will teach you how to take more control over WordPress through coding. You will learn how to set up a local testing server, install WordPress, create a custom WordPress theme, and more.
Learn front-end and back-end web development, including HTML & CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, PHP, MySQL, and building custom WordPress themes. Develop skills in coding webpages, creating web graphics, and coding HTML emails, while also learning about code management and deploying sites.
Prerequisite
Open to Beginners
You should feel comfortable coding HTML and CSS, with knowledge equivalent to our Advanced HTML & CSS class.  You should also know how to use WordPress, with knowledge equivalent to our WordPress: Create a Website or Blog class.
