Step-by-Step Setup Instructions

  1. Visit the Tableau Public download page

  2. Provide the required personal information

  3. Confirm your email and sign in to the webpage

  4. Select Download Desktop Public edition from the Create drop-down menu

  5. You may be prompted to sign in again.

  6. Click Download the App

  7. The download should begin automatically. If it doesn’t, select your OS to download the installer.

  8. Run the installer, if it does not begin to run automatically.

  9. Agree to the Public edition terms of service

  10. Once installed, the application will run automatically
