Viewing Notes: Free InCopy Tutorial

Learn how to view and manage notes in both Galley & Story Views and Layout View, as well as using the Notes Panel.

Viewing Notes: in Galley & Story Views

  • If a note is collapsed as shown below, click on the colored brackets notes closed brackets to expand the note and see the text it contains.

  • To collapse a note, click on one of the colored brackets notes closed brackets around the note.

  • To open or close all notes in a story, go to Notes > Expand/Collapse Notes in Story.

Viewing Notes: in Layout View

  1. A marker note marker for layout view will appear in the text indicating the location of the note.

  2. Mouse over the top half of the marker note marker for layout view. When the cursor turns into a hand note marker with hand icon, click to view the note.

Using the Notes Panel

  • You can switch between notes using the Previous and Next Note buttons at the bottom of the panel.
