Participants in this small class progress from beginner-level skills to advanced video editing and filmmaking training through hands-on exercises over the course of three days. Bootcamp begins with instruction on Premiere Pro’s interface and basic functions. Students then explore how to input, organize, and export footage, create titles, and work with audio tracks. Advanced concepts like speeding up footage, color correction, and stop-motion loops are also covered. By course completion, those enrolled will have completed several projects that can be added to their professional portfolios,

Tuition is $975. This bootcamp requires three full days of instruction to complete. Students can opt to take this class in person in NYC, or study Premiere Pro live online. This class takes 18 hours to complete. All learners can retake this course for free for up to one year.

Final Cut Pro X: An Introduction to Final Cut Pro, Manhattan Edit Workshop

Those who are interested in learning how to work with Final Cut Pro can learn this video editing application in Manhattan Edit Workshop’s Final Cut Pro X: An Introduction to Final Cut Pro. Those enrolled start by exploring the user interface and learning basic editing functions. Instruction is then provided on this app’s more advanced features, such as working with real-world media. This program is intended for beginners as well as professionals who want to learn how to edit professional-level videos and master this program’s full functionality.

Tuition is $1,295. It takes three full days to complete this class. As a prerequisite, those who wish to enroll should know how to work with OS X and navigate a computer. Additionally, basic editing terminology is helpful though not required.

Adobe Premiere Pro CC (2022), Certstaffix Training

Adobe Premiere Pro CC is intended for those who wish to acquire basic video editing skills. Digital Editing Workshop, New York Film Academy

Those who live in the greater New York City area and are interested in learning how to edit film can enroll in the New York Film Academy’s Digital Editing Workshop. Participants receive hands-on instruction in the leading film editing software, Avid Media Composer. Instruction is also provided on the components of successful visual storytelling. Motion Graphics Certificate, FIT

New York City residents can acquire training in 2D motion graphics with FIT’s Motion Graphics Certificate. This hands-on program covers core Adobe After Effects skills, such as how to create effective and engaging stories. Those enrolled begin the class with an overview of the field of motion graphics. If you’re an aspiring Video Editor interested in mastering the tools needed to work with film and video, Adobe Creative Cloud Bootcamp is a great learning option. Participants in this hands-on bootcamp explore how this suite can be used for a range of professional tasks, such as web design, graphic design, motion graphics, and video editing. Students receive project-based training designed to teach them real-world creative skills that can be used across industries and professions. In the Photoshop Bootcamp portion of this class, participants learn how to retouch photos and create graphics. The InDesign Bootcamp prepares participants to design web and print layouts. Students can choose to complete coursework remotely or attend class in Manhattan. Tuition is $4,195. Financing plans are available. Those enrolled have the option of retaking some or all of this course for up to one year for no cost.

Video Editing & Animation Certificate (High School), NextGen Bootcamp

If you’re a high schooler interested in getting a head start on video editing, NextGen Bootcamp offers a Video Editing & Animation Certificate. This hands-on program is available to learners at all levels who are 13-18 years old and want to learn how to edit videos and create animated elements. In the small class environment, students learn how to work with Adobe Premiere Pro to edit videos. The first unit covers core skills like importing footage, adjusting its speed, color-correcting video content, and laying out media in a timeline. These skills have applications that range from starting a YouTube channel to pursuing a film career. Students then move into working with After Effects for animation. Participants acquire training in motion tracking, masking, and 3D animation. They also explore how to create graphics for use in TV shows, video games, and movies.

It costs $2,495 to enroll in this certificate program. Payment is due before the first class meeting. Coursework takes eight full days to complete and requires 50 hours of live instruction. Participants can opt to take this course in person in Manhattan, or complete studies live online.

Motion Graphics Certificate, NYC Career Centers

Motion Graphics Certificate is available for those in NYC interested in working with motion graphics, video editing, and special effects. Participants in this hands-on bootcamp receive training with two popular Adobe apps: After Effects and Premiere Pro. Instruction is provided in core video editing skills like working with voiceover and dialogue, editing music, adjusting video clip placement and timing, and managing color and speed. This program is available in person in New York City as well as in the live online format. All students can retake this course for free for up to one full year.

Cinema 4D in After Effects Bootcamp, Noble Desktop

Those interested in exploring how to create and animate 3D graphics can do so in Noble Desktop’s Cinema 4D in After Effects Bootcamp. Participants in this bootcamp work with Cinema 4D Lite and learn how to integrate it with Adobe After Effects to create motion graphics and 3D models. Learners acquire training in skills like using the Cineware effect to create seamless integration, assigning textures, designing and using 3D models, and making animations. This program is intended for those who already have a background working with After Effects, such as Motion Graphic Artists, 2D Animators, or Compositors, and want to take their skills to the next level by understanding how to work with 3D assets.

This 18-hour bootcamp program is available for $975. Tuition is due before the first class meeting. Participants have the option of studying in person in NYC or live online.
