In this video, we're going to be importing text into our file. So let's begin by going to page 1. And let's go into our Layers panel and select our Text layer as we'll be working with our Text layer. Next, let's zoom out using CTRL +—and now we need to import the text necessary for this file. We'll go to File, Place. And from here we can actually import the text directly from the document rather than having to open up a separate program to read this document. So let's select Open and we'll see that within our cursor.
We have the text loaded. We'll simply click and now we have all the text on the left-hand side. From here our first step is going to be converting all of this text into our desired font. So to do this, we'll double-click. And now that we're inside of our text frame, let's hit CTRL + A to select all of our text and next let's go to the top in our control bar and we're going to type in Nevis and hit ENTER. And in the drop-down below, let's select Bold. We now click inside. We'll see that all the text has been converted to Nevis. In addition, we now instead of our bullet points have question marks. We need to define these. To do this, let's highlight all of these bullet marks. Let's now go into our Properties panel and down to the bottom.
We have Bullets and Numbering which we're going to go to Options. And we can now define our bullets. In this case, we don't have the actual circles within this font. However, we can use these two little arrows right here. We'll double-click these to define them and click OK. And now we have our bullets defined as those arrows. We're now ready to start adding our text within our card. So let's begin first by highlighting our top tagline and hitting CTRL + C to copy it. From here, we're actually going to create a brand new text box within our page and let's start on the top left-hand side within our margin and drag a text frame all the way to the right, snapping to the bottom-right-hand side of the rectangle within our margin. From here, let's hit CTRL + V on the keyboard to paste our text. And let's add a little bit more text. To do this, right below, let's add a URL placeholder. We'll type www.urlplaceholder.here and this will just hold the place for a URL that we can add later. In addition, right above it, let's add a phone number.
So I'll hit ENTER and go up using the arrow key and feel free to add whatever phone number you'd prefer. And here. I think this is good. We've got a phone number, we've got the main tagline, and we have a place for a URL right in our top section. Before stylizing this, let's make sure that we get all of the text strategized within our pages.
Let's figure out where we want to put this next line. Our design begins and ends with your lifestyle. For now, let's copy it using CTRL + C on the keyboard and let's put it right here in this yellow box. We'll create a text frame right here, dragging from the edge of the page and we'll go all the way down to the right into this corner. And let's hit CTRL + V. Well, this is obviously not how we want it to look like as our final product. Let's leave it there for now and we can stylize it in the future. Next, let's copy this text. We design living spaces for individuals and families.
I'll hit CTRL + C and let's put this right at the top in this red frame. We'll drag again from the corner here of the page all the way down to the other edge of the page and hit CTRL + V on the keyboard. And if we hit CTRL + Shift + A, we can deselect and zoom in using V on the keyboard to make sure that our text frame is really against the edge of the page and lined up with our guides correctly. Once it's lined up, we can stylize this in the future. Let's zoom back out and let's now take this entire frame and hit CTRL + C to copy it and let's go drop down into page 2 to add the remaining elements. We'll close our Properties panel to get a better view and let's hit CTRL + V to paste our text. We'll drag it to the right-hand side. And now we have a couple of other elements that we need to add. The first one is your dream home, our pleasure. We'll copy it and using the Type tool, let's add a text frame right here within our blue and we'll hit CTRL + V to paste. And let's hit backspace to remove that extra line. Going back in here.
Let's take this quote from Becky right here and take CTRL + C to copy and let's create a text frame on the bottom-right-hand side within our yellow rectangle and lining up the guides there, I'll hit CTRL + V to paste. And finally, we have our services provided. So let's highlight all of this and hit CTRL + C to copy and we're going to create a text frame right here within the white area and hit CTRL + V to paste. We can go to our Selection tool and we'll see that we've now completed adding all of our text to different elements both on page 1 and on page 2. So let's now save our work hitting CTRL + S on the keyboard to save and with all of this text added in, we can begin stylizing in the next video. See you there!
