In this video we'll be discussing our next project, our Domus newsletter. Let's begin by going into our file and double-clicking the Domus materials folder.
Within this folder we have all of the necessary assets for the newsletter we'll be creating. In addition, if we double-click the document, this is the document we've received from our client outlining all of the materials and elements that they need within their newsletter. Each bold title corresponds to a different page and as we can see here we need eight total pages.
In addition, as we look at this document we'll see that we have different elements ranging from an address and title of our client, Domus Interior Design, a date and a picture of the office, and many of the images that we need are within this folder as well. For example, we have our office on beach for the cover. For the cozy space here we have two of the featured brick photos and two to three paragraphs as well.
In this case our client doesn't necessarily have the text ready for the newsletter, however they need the design process started. So for this project we're going to be utilizing placeholder text for a lot of our newsletter while our client continues to work on the copy necessary for the actual newsletter. As we continue to work within this newsletter feel free to reference this newsletter document or print it out and place it next to your computer so you can reference it as we go through the strategy and design of our newsletter.
In the next couple videos we'll begin creating the actual design of the newsletter and strategizing how we're going to place each of these elements and the overall design for each page. After that we'll go back and actually insert the actual images and placeholder text. So with that let's begin the newsletter in our next video.
I'll see you there!
