In this video, we'll begin working on our next pages. Here we have our Request for Proposal open, and this outlines the details that we need for our philosophy and service model, as well as our customer service information.
So let's minimize this and open up our folder. Within our Web Materials, we've also collected all of the information that we'll need for these pages. In Web Materials, right at the bottom here, we have our philosophy, and so let's copy this right here, hitting CTRL + C on the keyboard, and go back into InDesign.
Currently, we're on pages 10 and 11, and so let's first start by applying a master. We'll right-click, go to Apply Master to Pages, and we'll apply B Master and hit OK. Next, let's change our titles.
We'll hold CTRL + SHIFT, clicking on both of our titles, and for our first title on the left, we're going to type out Philosophy and Service Model. For our title on the right, we'll be typing out Customer Service. Next, we've had a lot of titles at the top, so let's change it up by simply dragging it a bit below 2.5 inches.
We'll utilize our Rectangle Frame Tool and let's create a frame here, giving ourselves a little bit of space. Next, let's add our type utilizing our Type Tool. We'll click and drag, and we can leave it about this size. Now we're going to hit CTRL + V to paste our Philosophy and Service Model information.
Next, we'll be deleting the spaces in between, and here we have our Philosophy and Service information. Additionally, on this page, we're going to insert a quote from one of our customers. To do this, let's create a rectangle for our quote.
We'll simply click and drag a rectangle over, and then let's adjust our text frame. Dragging it up, now we just need to add the quote. We'll go back into our folder, and from here, we have a quote from a previous Client.
So let's open this, and here we have an email including our quote. So let's next copy this, hitting CTRL + C on the keyboard to copy. Going back in here, let's utilize our Type Tool and simply click inside the rectangle. We'll hit CTRL + V to paste our text and let's stylize this a bit more.
We can start by italicizing the top text here, going to our Properties panel and selecting Italic, and let's increase the size a bit as well. We'll hit CTRL + A to select all the text now. Let's bump it up to 15 points, and we'll also unalign with the Baseline Grid.
Finally, let's drop this Sparrow Cafe onto the next line. We'll hit TAB before so it's moved over a bit, and we'll highlight it and let's make this bold. From here, let's now use our Selection Tool to add some inset spacing.
We'll right-click, go to Text Frame Options, and let's just add a little bit of inset spacing at 0.125 and click OK. In this case, we simply need to drag out this rectangle just a little bit more so we can fit it all. Finally, instead of this tab, I'm going to remove it, and let's highlight the Sparrow Cafe and simply right-align it.
From here, if we hit W on the keyboard, we can see our work, and this quote box right here has a stroke, which we'll remove. If we hit W again, we'll see the result. On the space on the right, let's add another image using our Rectangle Frame Tool, and we'll simply add an image over here, releasing it about this distance, and we're ready to add images from our CC Libraries.
For this, I'm going to use this image. However, feel free to use whatever you'd prefer, and I'll use Content-Aware Fit. I like this here. I do think it needs to be a little bit bigger. I'll expand it out, and I'll leave it right about there.
Next, I'll add an image up top, and I'm going to choose this image. Right-click and go to Fitting > Fill Frame Proportionally, and again, I think I'm going to expand it just a little bit and move it down using the arrow keys. If we hit W, we'll see what this looks like, and I like the look of this. It's a little bit different from our standard page.
So for now, let's save our work, hitting CTRL + S on the keyboard to save, and in the next video, we're going to work on our Customer Service page. See you there!
