Hello and welcome to VDCI CAD Teacher DEC 241 Intermediate InDesign. In this intermediate-level course, we're going to break down advanced uses of InDesign and review tools and techniques necessary to create professional-looking layout designs and materials. Throughout Lesson One, we're going to be working on a postcard for our client, Domus Interior Design.

Here, we'll add different images, work with text, and go over many of the basics that we covered in the previous introductory-level course. In Lesson Two, we'll be working on a digital display. From here, we're going to digitize all of these materials and publish them online. We'll work with transitions and many other digital elements that are relevant for this document.

Finally, in Lessons Three and Four, we're going to be working on a larger project—our Parks and Dwell construction proposal. We received a request for a proposal, and in response, we'll need to create this document. As we can see here, we'll have an entire spread of multiple pages, and we'll be designing all of them, including our project team and various text boxes.

We'll create some staff pages, implement our design philosophy and customer service strategy, and then work on tables. We'll continue with precedents, add images, and finish it off with our back cover and company information.

So welcome to DEC 241 Intermediate InDesign. I look forward to joining you on this journey. In the next video, we're going to begin working on our first project—our postcard sample.
