In this video we're going to continue stylizing our artboard by adding a logo to the left triangle. However, first looking at our artboard here with artboard one selected, we can see that there's a lot of guides that make this all look a little more daunting than it may need to for us.

So let's go over how to clear guides. To do this we can go up to View and we can simply click Clear Guides. We now have an artboard that doesn't have any of the guides, so it's a little easier to look at it all without worrying about the lines going everywhere.

Now let's begin talking about what we're going to do to add the logo to our left triangle. The first thing we want to do is open up our logo Photoshop file. To do this we'll go to File, Open, and in this case, we're going to be opening up our Phase 10 Construction logo and click Open.

Next, to add our logo to our PTC Banner 3 left triangle, we're going to choose carefully how we want this logo displayed. In my opinion, it may look best if we go back into the construction logo to only select the P itself for the branding. So let's do that.

We'll select the rectangle and then hold Shift and select Ellipse 1 and Ellipse 2 as well. We'll then hit CTRL+C to copy these layers, and going back into the PTC Banner 3 Photoshop file, we're going to hit CTRL+V to paste these layers. As we can see, they've now been added to our Artboard 1 as each of these layers.

Let's now convert these three images into a Smart Object by right-clicking and selecting 'Convert to Smart Object.' Now we're able to make modifications to this without having to select all the layers. Let's rename it 'Logo' by double-clicking and titling it 'Logo' and hitting Enter.

Next, let's zoom back over and begin looking at how we want to add our logo to the triangle. First, we'll select the Logo and simply move it over. In this case, we hit CTRL+T to transform it, and we can adjust the size and hit ENTER, and it looks okay on the left.

However, this isn't my favorite look. Let's instead try adding it as a mask. To do this, we're going to select our Logo layer, hit CTRL+T, and let's expand the P over the far-left side so that it's coming out over the edges of the triangle.

We'll then hit ENTER, and now we want to create a clipping mask with this P so that it shows over the triangle. To do this, we're going to select our Logo layer and drag it right on top of the left triangle. Now, to create a clipping mask from this, we'll right-click and select 'Create Clipping Mask.'

Now we can see that the triangle has clipped the P where the P and triangle overlap. Let's now adjust the size of our logo a little more. We'll hit CTRL+T, and we can drag it to this.

I like that both of the lines on the top and bottom are covered by the triangle. Let's leave it right there for now and hit ENTER. I like the look of this.

It maintains some of the final adjustments here. Now hit ENTER, and feel free to size this however you'd prefer as well. I like the look of this P being barely clipped off since you can still recognize it, but it's not overly obvious with the entire logo.

It's just stylized on the left-hand side. It still feels a little bold though in my opinion, so let's change the opacity of it to make it a little more faint. To do this, with the Logo selected, we'll go to our opacity and double-click to change it to 30 percent.

That might be a little too faint. We'll bring it up to 50, and I like the look of that. So, I'll hit ENTER.

As one more idea, let's start changing the color of the inside circle and outside rectangle. However, if we look at our Layers panel, we only have the Logo to edit instead of the three original layers. So to change this, we'll select Logo and go to Edit Contents in our Properties panel.

We'll now see that we have the original three layers with which we created the Smart Object. We can select Ellipse 2 and Rectangle 1 using Control. And now let's change it to the PTC Gray color.

To do this, we'll go to our fill color picker, select it from our foreground color, and click OK. We've now changed the color of Ellipse 2 and Rectangle 1 to this gray color. I'll hit CTRL+S to save Ellipse 2, and let's go back into our PTC Banner 3 file, and we'll see that it's now been changed.

Let's adjust the opacity now since it's a little brighter. We'll double-click, and I'll bring it down to 20%, then hit ENTER. I like the look of this.

It's faded on the left, so it's subtle, but it maintains brand consistency. If you'd like to leave yours white, you can do so. However, for your project, feel free to change it to any color you feel is appropriate.

So, I'll go back to Ellipse 2, select Ellipse 2 and Rectangle 1 using Control, and select the PTC Dark color to change it back to the dark. Next, we'll go to PTC Banner 3, and it hasn't updated yet because we haven't hit save. We'll go to Ellipse 2, hit CTRL+S to save, and then go to PTC Banner 3, and we'll see it's updated.

I like the look of this right here, and personally, I prefer the dark color. However, for your project, feel free to change it to whatever color you feel is appropriate. We're now going to save our work by hitting CTRL+S for PTC Banner 3, and we can close our Ellipse 2 Photoshop file by hitting CTRL+S and then closing it.

In the next video, we'll begin stylizing our text. See you there!
