In this hands-on course, students explore how AI can support user research, synthesis, personas, journey maps, information architecture, UI ideation, design critique, usability testing, accessibility review, UX writing, and project documentation.
Students will practice using AI to organize research findings, identify patterns, draft design artifacts, critique interface decisions, generate microcopy, summarize usability findings, and improve design handoff materials. The course emphasizes responsible AI use, clear prompting, human review, and maintaining strong design judgment.

Most of our coding classes utilize freely-available open-source software. For most of our design and motion graphics courses, we will help you get set up with a free trial of Adobe Creative Cloud. If you attend the course in-person, we will have a computer already set up for you with all of the required software for no additional cost.
