Ubiqum Code Academy aims to change the face of education. Sebastián Barajas Caseny spent years working in technology and training, including the European arm of XTOL Corp, before starting the tech education school in Barcelona in 2016. Ubiqum Code Academy began operations in Barcelona, Spain, where it maintains a comfortable campus for collaborative learning just off Plaça de Catalunya, a bustling shopping and transportation hub at the city’s very center. The school also has locations at Cloudworks near the Plaza de la Independencia very near the center of Madrid; at Geneva Business School in the French-speaking La Voie-Creuse district of Geneva, Switzerland; and in a vibrant tech co-working space in the Nieuw-West district of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. What Classes Are Available?

Ubiqum Code Academy offers three bootcamps for students to choose from: Web Development JavaScript, Web Development with Java, and Data Analytics and Machine Learning. Online versions of the Ubiqum Code Academy’s bootcamps can be taken full-time live online or part-time in a hybrid on-demand/live online format, in which students register by unit and work 1-on-1 with their mentor in regularly scheduled live meetings.

All courses at Ubiqum Code Academy are completely practice-based. Instead of exams, students produce multiple practical projects like websites, Ecommerce apps, and video games, or business data analyses and problem-solving for the Internet of Things. Instead of instructors didactically delivering course content, students have mentors supporting them through their projects’ development. All Ubiqum Code Academy courses can be taken in English or Spanish.
