JavaScript & jQuery Basics covers the fundamentals of front-end web design and introduces students to jQuery. The course begins with instruction in basic HTML and CSS, covers JavaScript, including topics such as object-oriented programming, and concludes with a module on jQuery and its associated libraries.

This introductory class shows students not only how to use HTML but also explains the interaction between browsers, servers, Internet addresses, and HTML code. The class also shows students how to use CSS and how the Box Model operates.

Beginning with a module on what SQL is, this class provides students with a foundation in the language by instructing them on sorting and filtering data, the use of wildcards, and constructing datasets using calculations. Relational databases, joins (inner and outer), and combined queries are covered as well.

This class takes students with a basic grounding in SQL through more advanced applications of the language. The curriculum includes creating and working with tables, window functions, the APPLY operator, and defining and creating views.

In this advanced course, students are taught to work with variables, control structures, and how to create custom functions. The course also discusses implementing triggers and indexes in tables and how to optimize code.

This class shows students the basic operations of Photoshop, including color, retouching, gradients, shadows, and blending modes. Students also learn how to prepare and export images for the web and print.

This class teaches students to use InDesign to prepare and publish documents for web or print. Students are taught to employ tools such as design templates, paragraph formats, master pages, and how to collaborate with colleagues through the cloud.

In this class, students are introduced to shapes, colors, the Pen tool, and other fundamental aspects of Illustrator. They are then shown how to create and work with objects, colors, layers, and text, and how to prepare PDF files for print or screen.

In this class, students learn how to edit images using tools like text masks, layer masks, and layer blending modes. They will also learn advanced retouching techniques, smart filters, working with vector graphics, and how to use Adobe Camera Raw to process their own digital photographs.

Students in this course learn to employ tools like the pen tool, Pathfinder, and layers to create attractive and professional print designs. The class also instructs students in advanced text operations (footnotes, cross-references, numbered lists), tables, merging documents, and preparing text for submission to the printer.
