In this beginner AutoCAD class, participants will learn basic drawing and modifying techniques for drafting and technical drawing. Basic methods of printing and plotting layouts and sheets, working between model space and paper space, and how to scale drawings through viewports will all be covered. Students will master techniques for inserting blocks, making text, dimensioning drawings, and working with layers and templates. Students will be able to reinforce what they learn with numerous projects interspersed throughout the course. This course introduces the foundational skills and interface to new AutoCAD users. Participants of this course will learn to use precision drawing aids and commands, create layouts and designs, and manipulate objects. They will also explore dimensioning fundamentals and controlling the properties of objects.

In this course, experienced AutoCAD users can learn advanced drafting techniques. Participants will learn to create and use detailed drawings and create block libraries. Additionally, they will learn boundaries for area determination, block mechanisms, and create dimensions.
