He then went on to hold incredibly important HR and public affairs roles at the IRS and GSA, as well as the DHS, where he served as the first HR Officer for their new headquarters. He ended his career as a Deputy Chief Human Capital Officer and HR Director at the Department of Labor, where he oversaw 120 HR professionals and supported 18,000 employees.
