Meet Noble’s Latest Class of Graphic Design Certificate Grads

Graphic Design Cohort Profile: December 2022

One of Noble’s most popular courses is the Graphic Design Certificate. In this certificate program, participants from all kinds of professional backgrounds come together to learn how to utilize Adobe’s graphic design software and fundamental design theory to create their own real-world design projects.

But what is it really like to be part of this program? Let’s hear from some of the students and the lead instructor from our most recent graduates: the Graphic Design Certificate class of December 2022.

From the first day of class to the final portfolio review, this cohort shined. In fact, one student even got a graphic design job during the program. (Congratulations, Carter!)

A Much-Needed Change

For Rebecca Benedict, Noble’s Graphic Design Certificate provided a change for the better: “I’m completing the Graphic Design Certificate feeling like I have direction. I am inspired and excited, and I entered this course feeling like I had no idea where I was going to go from here - I just knew I had to start with a certification of some sort.”

Rebecca says the program would be a good fit for others in this situation: “It was a huge shift for me, and I definitely recommend it to anyone who is thinking about it and needs a change in their work life.”

Clear Results

Another student, Joana Miranda, found that the Graphic Design Certificate produced definitive results. “Taking the Graphic Design Certificate course has been one of the best decisions I've ever made. The teachers are top-notch, yet relatable and always helpful. I've learned an incredible amount in a short span of time, and I'm already seeing results from the hard work I put in.

While the program is available both in-person and live online, Joana says both are good settings for learning design: “The environment both on campus and for remote learning via Zoom was always comfortable and friendly.”

A Design Instructor’s Perspective

Several students gave personal shoutouts to Justine Sanborn, their lead instructor for the program. Besides leading this cohort’s classes, Justine met with students for 1-on-1 mentoring sessions, gave individualized assistance via email, and set up a Discord group where students could share their work in progress and chat about design.

For Justine, the appreciation was mutual: “This Graphic Design Certificate cohort was exceptional.”

Justine continued, “Each student showed a clear understanding of graphic design fundamentals in their work. Their ways of problem-solving through their own unique design voices were delightful to see and made the class an enjoyable experience for everyone.”
