UX & UI Design Capstone
Create a fully realized user experience for a digital product by applying UX research, interaction design, and visual interface principles. Throughout the capstone, you’ll follow a structured process to uncover user needs, explore creative solutions, and iterate based on testing and feedback. The final outcome will showcase your ability to think strategically, solve real-world problems, and design with users at the center. You’ll present your work as a polished case study, complete with high-fidelity prototypes and supporting materials, to include in your professional portfolio.

Key Features (Site Map & Flow):
- Explore: Hikes, Animals, Flowers, Viewpoints
- Report: Sighting logs for flowers and animals
- Profile & Track: Save and manage hikes and discoveries
- Camera Integration: Identify organisms mid-hike

Hoppy: Workplace Wellness App
Student Project: Robbie C. & Leighann H.
This project focuses on the design of Hoppy, a wellness and schedule‑management app built for workplace professionals who want to prioritize mental well‑being and self‑care during times of burnout. The app integrates with a user’s work calendar, tracks mood data, and delivers customized recommendations to help professionals find recovery time and maintain balance throughout the day.
User Research:
Interviews with workplace professionals revealed pain points around limited focus time, context switching, and deprioritized self‑care. Insights were grouped by behaviors, needs, and motivations, which led to persona development and a journey map highlighting when mood tracking and task prioritization would be most valuable.
Key Features (Site Map & Flow):
- Calendar Integration: Syncs with work calendars to identify recovery times and suggest schedule adjustments.
- Mood Tracker: Contextualizes stressful events and feeds data into tailored coping recommendations.
- Personalized Insights: Delivers customized tips for stress management and prioritizing self-care.
- Onboarding & Assessment: Streamlined process collects initial data and begins delivering value immediately.
