In the previous video, we went ahead and really got our vent system dialed for our main bathrooms. We're going to go ahead and get the vertical pipe in here.

So what I'm going to do is make sure you save your file, obviously; always want to be saving. Our verticals are going to be running in this corner of this shaft on the bottom, and then this shaft up here on the top will be going into here.

So what I'm going to end up doing is I'm going to grab my working section. Let's go ahead. Sometimes I like to clear out my view.

So I'm just going to close all of my inactive views using the button up here. Let's close our 3D. So I'm just currently on my level two ceiling plan.

I'm going to go into my section here, WT for window tile. So then what I want to do is we kind of also want to figure out where the roof is here. We got to go all the way up through this roof again.

We may talk to the Architect. They may want to adjust it. They may want to change it.

We're just going to poke up straight through the roof. So what I'm going to do is right click, drop pipe on the low one. I'm going to come all the way up and go through the roof.

There we go. The one thing with the roof that we'll need to do is make sure that we aren't near any intakes, typically vents and things like that, or air intakes have a 10-foot radius from them that you do not want to be near with an exhausting element. So see here.

Now we have that pipe drying up here. It should be a three-inch vent. I'm going to use my align tool.

I'm going to select the center line there and the center line there. Then what I can do is bring these together. There we go.

It's kind of wanting to be, there we are. And we've completed that vent system. This is now venting to the atmosphere.

I'm going to grab my working section and come all the way down here. There we go. Same exact thing.

Right click, drop pipe, take this guy. I'm going to go straight up and actually, yep, we'll just go straight up. I'm going to go ahead and make that one a little bit larger.

We'll make this a three-inch. I need to make sure on my second floor, though, that they're in the same placement. So AL for align, I'm going to select the center line of the vertical pipe and then the center line of the horizontal pipe, get those aligned in plan.

Then I can come over here in section and have them touch. If you need to adjust this, you can go ahead and do that. If you really want to get it like up against this wall, you can go ahead and get it closer to that wall in the plan view.

And it's going to adjust both of these. There we go. That one looks pretty good.

Again, if you need to drag it or adjust it, please do so as you see fit. And there we go. We finished that.

We finished the vent system. That's pretty much the vent system for us there. You could specify a specific height here.

If you wanted to. So I could maybe say from the highest point of the roof, one foot six, let's say maybe I just want to be one foot. And I'll move that pipe down.

I could do the same thing on this edge. And go about there. I can't really dimension obviously to the curved face, but I can dimension to that.

And so then I can just do one foot. So I can limit that overrun there. Perfect.

So last vent systems that we need to do is going to be our classrooms. So I'm going to grab my working section and we're going to work on one whole bank at a time. Because of how this is working, this system is a little bit different from our bathrooms.

So I'm going to take that working section. I'm going to get it into location, but I want to expand it out so I can see all of my sinks that are on this side. So in my plan view, I'm going to grab my section here and adjust it and the cut depth,

So I can see everything that I need to perfect. So there's a couple of different things that we need to do here. At one point, we're going to need to establish a vent that goes off in the wall and comes up and it's going to tie back into a vent here.

And then it's going to go through the roof. Now we could decide to tie these together if we wanted to, you know, if you wanted to tie all of these together, like in the classrooms, we could go ahead and do that. We're just going to go ahead and have these all poke through the roof.

But what I'm going to end up doing is I'm actually going to first delete all of the portions above that fitting. If I look at my 3D view here, all of these portions that are the super tall portions, we're going to have our vent line coming up from there. So to make sure that we're able to do what we need to, I am going to go through this 3D view and delete everything.

When I look at one of these plumbing stacks, I have the riser coming up here, my connection to the sink, I have my piping continuing to go up to this riser and then to this connect fitting. Then I delete the portion of pipe above that because I need to make that my vent pipe. So you can go through and delete that all.

And really, the reason is I can't change this from sanitary once it's already a sanitary pipe. So I just find it easier to delete it and recreate it.

I'm going to do the same on the opposite side. So I'm just working my way down and deleting as I go. There we are.

Looks like I have an extra fitting out here somewhere floating around. I'm going to delete that too. There we go.

And we're ready to start working on this vent. So I'm going to go ahead, pause this video here. Then we will filter out or create these in the next one.
