Learn the key steps to make final changes to an image before exporting it. This guide covers everything from changing the color and opacity of elements to tweaking text position and exporting the final image.
Key Insights
- The guide demonstrates the process of modifying the color of specific text elements for better visual consistency within the artboard. This is accomplished using the move tool and the foreground color options.
- It is shown how to adjust the opacity of a design element, like a triangle, to make it more vibrant and better represented with the text. This involves selecting the element, double clicking the opacity, and then changing it as needed.
- Before exporting the final image, the guide goes over the necessary steps to save the work and adjust the export settings, including the file type and scale percentage. The process is completed by clicking 'Export All' after verifying the final preview.

In this video, we're going to begin exporting our image. However, before we do this, let's make a couple of final changes to the bottom of our image regarding the text.
Let's scroll down. And for this image, I'm going to change the color of We Keep Up. While I like the soft color below City is Hustle, I do think it needs to be a little more bold.
So I'm going to hit V on my keyboard to select it using the move tool. And then with it selected, I'm going to click the green to change the color of the font. I like this much more, and I think it's consistent with the other colors within our artboard.
Next, let's change the color of There's Not Much Time to Keep Up. And in this case, we're going to change it over to the PTC blue color. In order to do this, we'll click outside in the layers panel.
We don't have any layers selected and select PTC blue as our foreground color. Next, we'll double-click the text and select this middle sentence. And now we're going to change the color by going to our options, selecting the fill color, and we're going to select the blue from our foreground color and click OK.
If we double-click outside, I like the fact that this attracts attention and helps break up the wording. As one final change and tweak to our image, I want to change the opacity of this triangle on the far right-hand side. I want to make it a little more vibrant.
So I'll select it, selecting the right triangle, and we're going to double-click the opacity. I'm simply going to change it to 80 and hit ENTER. As we zoom out, I like the fact that this blue is a little closer and more strongly represented with the text as well.
Finally, let's hide all of our guides so we can get a good clear picture of the entire artboard for our pop-up banner. We'll click outside the artboard with the move tool and then we'll go to view and select clear guides. Now we can see a preview of our banner.
I think this looks great. However, I do want to make one more change double-clicking this bottom layer and I think the word 'the' is just a little bit too far out. So let's move it to the next line.
I'll click right before 'the' and hit ENTER. Then I'll double-click outside the artboard. I think this looks better.
Sometimes it's important to catch some of those hanging words or words that don't look like they're exactly in line. However, I do like the overall spacing of the bottom section. Let's now export.
Let's now export. Before we do this, we'll hit CTRL S on our keyboard to save our work. We're now ready to export our image. So let's go to file, export, export as, and similar to our other two banners, we'll change the settings to jpeg and we'll adjust the scale to 25 percent.
We'll then wait for our preview to load here and as we can see, this looks great. So let's click export all. We'll change our file name to PTC Banner Three and we'll click save.
Nicely done. We've now exported our third and final banner. We can close this preview box and in the next video, we'll begin adding each of our images into our three-banner display.
See you there.
