This one-day beginners’ textile and pattern-making course in Los Angeles will introduce participants to the basics, including fabric choice, tools, measurement techniques, and sewing tips. In addition, attendees learn how to use commercial patterns and adapt basic blocks to create unique designs. By the end of the course, you will have all the skills necessary to begin creating your own garments and patterns.

This intermediate pattern-making course based in the Los Angeles area is designed for participants looking to improve their skills and further their knowledge of textiles. Under the guidance of an experienced instructor, participants will learn more advanced techniques to design and construct textile patterns, as well as drafting body shapes and accurate measurements. Participants will also gain insight into creating unique garments from their own textile patterns.

Learn foundational skills and techniques in sewing in a beginner course designed for those with little to no prior experience. Participants can expect to understand machine set-up and usage, gain basic construction skills, and learn fabric selection tips. Classroom guidance will help participants develop the skills needed to complete projects independently.
