Scratch DJ Academy

This accelerated introductory music course provides an opportunity for participants to learn the basics of music theory and composition. Through hands-on modules, participants will learn the fundamentals of rhythm, melody, harmony, and instrumentation. At the end of the course, participants will have a better understanding of musical concepts and be able to compose their pieces of music.

This part-time program provides an introduction to the basics of DJing, focusing on music composition, mixing, and performing. Participants will learn foundational DJ skills including beat matching, EQ and remixing techniques, and industry best practices. This program also covers microphone techniques and the development of technical and creative skills for the production of DJ mixtapes/sets.
