Summer Design Course for High School Students in NYC
Students in the Graphic Design Summer Camp will be taught the most powerful tools in graphic design: Adobe Illustrator, Indesign, and Photoshop.
The first section of this class will cover Adobe Photoshop where students will be taught topics ranging from retouching photos, combining images, preparing graphics for the web, and more.
The next section of the class will cover InDesign comprehensively: creating page layouts with text, graphics, and multiple pages. Learn to style text, import photos, and graphics, define/use colors, add multiple pages, thread text frames, and much more.
Lastly, students will learn Illustrator and create numerous graphics throughout the course, using the standard drawing tools, the Pen tool, type, compound paths, effects, layers, masks, patterns, blends, colors, and more.
Throughout this course, students will work on a wide variety of projects and build a portfolio.
You may attend this training virtually (online) at the scheduled time the course is offered (New York, Eastern Time).
How does attending “live online” work?
Students can attend this training remotely through screen sharing software (we use Zoom).
Participants can hear the instruction, ask questions, and even share their screen with the instructor.
For audio you can use your computer’s microphone/speakers or call a phone number that we’ll provide.
Classes are activity-based and taught by a live instructor, so we strongly encourage students who are local to the area to attend in person!
