Animation Beyond Flash is Here!

Because Flash is not supported by iPhone and iPad, many animators have been left wondering what’s next. The answer, we believe, is the GreenSock Animation Platform (GSAP). It uses JavaScript, which is supported by all major browsers, mobile devices, and tablets. It’s already being used by such companies as Samsung, Chrysler, Target, and major movie studios. Come see a demonstration of this new technology by Carl Schooff, Geek Ambassador of GreenSock. We are holding a free seminar on July 10, and our first class will run September 23–25. To dig deeper into GSAP visit the GreenSock Website.

Ruby on Rails Training

We’re proud to announce our first Ruby on Rails class! Ruby on Rails is a young, lean framework focused on developer productivity and happiness. Twitter was built with Ruby on Rails, and Rails has also become the go-to framework for hot startups.
Ruby on Rails is a back-end solution for websites. If you are a front-end developer looking to expand your skillset, or a back-end developer using another language, Ruby on Rails will make you vastly more marketable.
There’s a lot to learn about Ruby on Rails, so this class assumes that you have a comfortable familiarity with basic web building blocks like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, as well as some basic programming experience (for example, with JavaScript, PHP, Java, or C++). First class runs August 26–28!

Alina Balean Goes Print to Web!

Alina recently received her web design certificate and quickly moved her business, Adsuch, from taking 100% print design requests to 100% web design inquiries! Here’s a link to one of her recent projects. Check out her site here: http://adsuch.com
In Alina’s own words:
 |
I think the most important lesson I received from the certificate program was an overall understanding of web design and the development of my vocabulary. This vocabulary and understanding helps me sell better to new clients, allows me to grow the sites I’ve already developed and eases communication between developers.” |
Congratulations to Noble alumna, Alina Balean!
To send us your news/success story please reply to this email with a re-introduction and your URL(s). We’d love to feature you and help promote your talents. |

The WordPress.org class paid for itself before the end of the class. I was able to make changes on our website that would have cost three times the cost of the class.”
