Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is NextGen doing to ensure the health of students and staff on campus?

Please check out our Covid-19 page for more information.

  • What is a facility fee?

Since our courses are being held live online, NextGen is offering discounted rates for online attendees. However, if courses are able to run in-person, we are charging an additional $200 per week to attend in-person. This fee only applies if students elect to attend in-person (the live online will still be available at the same price).

  • Who teaches NextGen classes?

All of our programs are taught by expert instructors who have extensive teaching experience and industry knowledge.

  • How large are NextGen classes?

NextGen's classes range in size but always follow an 8:1 student to teacher ratio.

  • Where are NextGen’s classes located?

This summer, all our courses are available live online. Attendees can interact with the instructor in real-time and will learn with hands-on projects. If permitted by local health authorities, students can choose attend in-person in NYC (185 Madison Avenue) for an additional $200/week (live online at the base price will be available in any case).

  • What coding and/or computer skills do students need to register?

All of our courses are open to students with little to no background in coding! Some students come in with no coding experience at all while others have extensive experience in one or more programming language. Our courses are designed for everyone to learn and be challenged!

  • Do you offer payment plans and financial aid?

We do not offer payment plans or financial aid at this time.

  • Do students need their own laptop?

This depends on the location of the class, so look out for more details when you are registering for your specific course! In many cases, we provide computers for all students. Students are always welcome to bring their own laptop.

  • I am having difficulty signing up, what do I do?

If you are having trouble with your camp registration, send an instant message to our online chat feature at the bottom right corner of the page. You can also send an email to or call us at (212) 226-0884.
