## Overview

Power BI is well known as an industry leader for streamlining the process from data to insights. This fully featured app enables you to build interactive data visualizations such as charts, graphs, maps, and other useful ways to visualize your data to make it both informative and visually appealing. Power BI is a robust tool, giving you control over the look and feel of your visualizations to create dynamic reports and dashboards.

In this training, you’ll learn to import data from various sources (such as Excel Worksheets, Text/CSV, and more), transforming the data using Power Query, and then turning it into visualizations. You’ll explore, structure, analyze, and filter the data to create useful reports and dashboard. Aggregate the data (using functions like SUM and COUNT) to gain insights. You’ll also begin to learn about Power BI’s DAX language, which powers its data calculations and more.

## What you'll learn

- Import data from Excel worksheets, CSV, and many more
- Transform/clean your data using Power Query
- Create interactive visualizations, such as charts, maps, cards, and slicers, to explore trends and patterns
- Use DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) to build measures, calculated columns, and custom aggregations
- Design visually engaging reports by adding titles, logos, and formatting options for a professional finish
- Understand and manage relationships between tables to create dynamic, filterable reports
- Share and collaborate on reports via the Power BI Service
- Set up dashboards and explore the differences between dashboards and reports for business presentations
- Schedule data refreshes and manage reusable datasets to keep reports up-to-date and scalable
