## Overview

In this Fire Protection Design course, students learn how to design and create a coordinated fire suppression system using Revit tools. The classes give students the hands-on experience to build a 3D wet fire sprinkler model and convert it into 2D construction drawings.

- **Utilize Revit to Create a 3D Fire Sprinkler Model:** Learn how to leverage Revit to create a detailed 3D model of a wet fire sprinkler system. Develop the ability to design fire suppression systems within a building environment.
- **Implement Workflows for File Management:** Develop workflows that include linking and managing Revit models and other file formats. Learn to create schedules and coordinate between disciplines to keep the project on track.
- **Generate 2D Drawings from 3D Models:** Gain experience converting your 3D fire sprinkler model into a set of 2D construction drawings. This means illustrating the design on paper for documentation and construction purposes.
- **Apply Tools for Visibility, Annotations, & Sheet Structure:** Utilize Revit’s tools such as visibility/graphics overrides, view templates, and annotations. Learn how to structure sheets for professional construction documents, presenting your fire protection design clearly.
