## Overview

This self-paced Financial Modeling Bootcamp blends advanced Excel training with real-world finance and accounting concepts, allowing you to learn on your own schedule. You’ll build professional financial models step by step, including integrated three-statement and discounted cash flow models, while developing the core skills used in high-stakes financial analysis across corporate finance and investment roles.

As you progress through the course, you’ll strengthen Excel skills specific to finance, including advanced functions, data tables, auditing tools, data validation, and Goal Seek to create dynamic, accurate models. You’ll also explore essential finance and accounting concepts such as enterprise value, accrual accounting, and market capitalization, then apply them by building full valuation models with real company data. By the end, you’ll know how to test your models, run sensitivity analysis, and use your outputs to support valuation and decision-making in professional settings.

## Prerequisites

Prior financial experience is helpful, but not required. Those without a finance or accounting background will receive a short guide prior to the course (available in the online student portal) to acclimate themselves to terminology.

Excel proficiency equivalent to [Intermediate Excel for Business](/classes/intermediate-excel-classes) is required, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and IF statements. - Stocks, dividend yields, trading terminologoy, and valuation metrics
- Market Capitalization: Calculate the market cap for public companies
- Shares outstanding: How does share count change over time?
- Enterprise Value: Calculate the enterprise value for public companies

#### Financial Accounting & Statement Analysis

- Cash vs. accrual accounting
