## Overview

In this introductory course, you'll learn how AutoCAD can be used to create drawings that represent real objects. You'll pick up the basic techniques for drawing and modifying so you can produce quality drafts that can be used to build real mechanical and architectural objects.

This is the first portion of our AutoCAD Level I material. If you'd like to go further, topics like layers, plotting (printing), properties, measurements, text, and more are covered in the later sections of the Beginner AutoCAD class.

Note: This course is designed for PC users. Mac users are welcome to follow along, but should keep in mind that the Mac AutoCAD graphic interface differs from the PC version, which is what the instructor uses and what the course focuses on.

## FAQ

### Can I take this course as a Mac user?

We allow Mac users to attend our AutoCAD classes online. The Mac AutoCAD graphic interface is different from the PC version, which is what the instructor uses and what the class focuses on. However, the tools are the same and the keyboard commands are almost identical. The instructor may need a moment of screen sharing to navigate the Mac interface with you a few times.
