# AutoCAD Construction Documents II (Self-Paced)

## Overview

AutoCAD Construction Documents II continues the development of a construction document set for a one-story residential project. Students will create building elevations, sections, wall sections, and metes and bounds site plans while advancing their drafting skills. The course also covers advanced file integration, layer management, multi-scale drawing presentations, and organizing a deliverable sheet set to meet National CAD Standards.

**Create Building Elevations & Wall Sections:**  
 Learn to create detailed building elevations, sections, and wall sections for a large residential project. This includes modifying detail drawings and maintaining precision throughout the design process.

**Develop Metes and Bounds & Site Plan Drawings:**  
 Learn to create metes and bounds site plans and reference them within architectural site drawings. These documents are critical for accurately representing site boundaries and project layout.

**Integrate Referenced Files & Manage Layers:**  
 Integrate external reference files into your AutoCAD project and manage layers efficiently to ensure project organization and coordination.

**Advanced Skills in Layouts, Plotting, & Sheet Organization:**  
 Master advanced techniques in layout creation, plotting, and organizing a professional sheet set. Ensure your final project complies with National CAD Standards and is ready for formal presentation.

## What you'll learn

- Create building elevations, sections, and wall sections; modify detail drawings; produce a metes and bounds (civil) drawing; and generate a complete set of deliverable sheets for a moderately complex residential project
- Develop a title sheet and incorporate appropriate general and keynote legends
- Integrate external reference files to produce coordinated construction documents
- Demonstrate effective layer and file management, utilize model and layout environments, and present drawings at multiple scales
- Apply intermediate to advanced skills to create sheet layout environments and prepare drawings for plotting
- Organize the final deliverable sheet set to meet National CAD Standards

### Dan Perico — Instructor

Dan Perico has been teaching computer graphics programs since the mid-1990s, including Autocad, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, InDesign, After Effects, and PowerPoint, and is an Autocad Certified Professional.

He has decades of experience helping a wide variety of students from different industries solve their individual problems. He has brought that experience to creating all books and course materials for the 30-hour AutoCAD Level 1 & 2 bootcamp at Noble Desktop, of which he is the sole author.

He is also an artist and an avid photographer and videographer for the NYC live music scene, and is the chief photographer, videographer, and video editor for Dare2Draw, a non-profit mentoring and networking program focusing on developing new and existing talent that hosts live drawing events and interviews with professionals from the comics and cartooning industries.
