Become a full stack web and app developer in just six weeks! In this program, college students will learn front-end and back-end web development, and app design and development. Students will leave this class with a portfolio of projects including a website and a mobile application to show potential employers.
After learning front-end development, students learn how to transfer these techniques over to mobile applications using Swift and Xcode. During this class, students will create three different mobile applications that can be featured in their portfolio.
Lastly, students learn Ruby and Ruby on Rails which is one of the most popular back-end web programming languages. Students learn how to add functionality, run a server, and deploy an application live to the web.
There are no prerequisites for this class and is built for students who have little to no coding experience.

In the third and fourth week of the course, students will be able to apply their coding knowledge to app development using Swift and X-Code. Students will learn important programming and design concepts while working on three different mobile applications during the class. Students will finish the class by working on their own mobile applications they can add to their portfolio and resume.
In the last two weeks of the course, you'll take your knowledge of web technologies like HTML and CSS even further by quickly creating beautiful apps that actually work using Ruby on Rails. From displaying pop-up messages to storing data in a database, you'll learn to handle the creation of software from start to finish, including how to launch your application live on the web for anyone to use.
Students will leave this course with a strong understanding of web programming both from the front and backend. Students will build a portfolio over these six weeks that they will be able to show potential employers. There are no pre-requisites for the class.
