The course workbook is clear, comprehensive, and well laid-out. The text used is in a conversational tone, capturing the nuances of a one-on-one in-person training even when you're done with the class. The course itself is designed to begin each segment with a detailed demonstration by the instructor, followed by the student doing a hands-on exercise at the computer (provided by the company) to practice what they just learned. Further demos/exercises build upon the earlier exercises so you can get a better handle on them. I couldn't wait to get home to launch Photoshop and get to work on my own stuff! “The instructor for the course was excellent. She was a professional who obviously has worked on websites for many years, and has a variety of clients who like her work. She was also had an ability to understand the problems faced by newbies and to explain exactly what she means. This is an unusual quality for a techie. Her speech and enunciation were clear and her spoken sentences grammatical. She was also exceedingly polite and respectful to every student. These qualities are not what one would ordinarily expect in a trade school. I had previously taken an HTML course at NYU night school, and the Noble instructor was far superior to the NYU instructor.

The equipment for use in the class was state-of-the-art and well-maintained. There were none of the usual glitches one finds when using equipment at a school.

There were no restrictions on the use of the equipment--if you wanted to check your e-mail, you were free to do so.

The teaching method is uniquely Noble's--during the lecture, you listen and do not follow along (although you may follow along on computer if you choose to do so). After each lecture (about 1/2 hour to one hour per lecture), you do exercises from the workbook, under the guidance of the instructor. The method is quite satisfying, and works very well.”

“This is the FIRST course I have ever taken when I didn't feel "left behind" when TRYING TO FOLLOW on my computer what the instructor had just covered in front of the students and on screen. Make a mistake or error and try to correct yourself, suddenly the instructor is on to the NEXT area, and then the NEXT, and I'm still in "catch-up mode". This way of instruction does not work for me, and it's a very unsatisfactory learning experience!

YOUR TEACHING METHOD is great, and it worked for ME!

Sit there, listen to, and watch the instructor go over the next area step-by-step. THEN, with the Training Manual in hand, work on the same exercise AT YOUR OWN PACE and do it correctly. Make a mistake or error, correct yourself OR ask for help, and NOT WORRY you're missing the instructor's NEXT step.”
