On the forefront of Macintosh computer and server technology for the last fifteen years, I am an Apple Certified Technical Coordinator (OS X servers), and an Apple Certified Help Desk Specialist. I have set up and managed Apple Xserves and Xraids, managed an Apple Xsan (for video), and many Mac OS X Servers.
I was one of the first New Yorkers to setup Mac OS X Server (year 2000 at Columbia University), and before that I supported and taught Appleshare Server at NYC schools.
I create custom OSX builds and packages with The Casper Suite (the leading Enterprise Management suite of applications, which includes Imaging/Patching, Mac & PC Inventory, Management Policies, SOX reporting, etc.) I’ve setup and managed AFP, SMB, NFS, FTP, SU Servers, Portable Home Directories, Netboot, Netinstall, Web and other server technologies, as well as large Backup Systems (NetVault certified). I’ve built Filemaker databases, company intranets, and have managed web projects. I've supported Linux Desktops and Servers (Ubuntu), and Windows desktops.
As a former Production Artist with an electronics background, I am uniquely qualified to support designers and production staff, audio and video users, indeed users of all types. I am NetVault Basic and Novell Basic certified, and was mentored by one of the top Mac consultants in New York, and I'm a supporting member of MetroMac. |
