Adobe Flash CS6

Animation and Interactivity

Many of today’s ads on the web are made with Flash. In this intro through intermediate-level class, you will learn how to animate: motion and shape tweening (the basis for animation), drawing, interactivity, buttons, symbols, movie clips, sound, loading messages, and introductory ActionScript.

In this training we teach ActionScript 2, the designer-friendly programming language that is typically used (and often required) for many of today’s ad networks. We do provide exercises in ActionScript 3 for those who are interested in more hardcore programming.

  • Learn Tweening, Transparency, Scaling, Motion Guides, Keyframes, Looping, and Reverse Framing.

  • Learn basic animation with motion guides.

  • Make text morph, zoom, and bounce... and that’s not all.

  • Create a Flash based slideshow with working preloader.

  • With Flash, it is easy to use any shape as a masking item.

  • Learn the finer points of Shape Tweening and Shape Hints

  • Use single letter animation to make your type look like it’s dancing across the page.
